You may need to use an e-mail address when applying for jobs or other services or creating profiles online. Here's how to create one:

Step 1

Choose which site you want to make an e-mail on, for example

Step 2

Once you have opened your chosen site, you need to click on the "Create an account" box.

Step 3

Each site will then ask you to fill in your personal details. When creating an e-mail address, these personal details most often are:

  • first and last name;
  • date of birth;
  • gender;
  • your telephone number.

Some sites may ask for additional information such as a secret question, additional email, etc.

At this stage, after filling in your personal details, the site will either automatically generate your e-mail address or give you the right to choose your username. You will also need to set a password (remember it so you can log in to your e-mail account).

After completing these steps, your e-mail address should be ready for you to use whenever you need it.
