Mission
The “SOS – Families at Risk” Foundation is dedicated to combating gender-based violence and supporting affected individuals and their families.

Social Rehabilitation and Integration Center (SRIC) – Varna
The SRIC provides counseling support to adults affected by domestic violence, gender-based violence, and human trafficking. The center ensures protection, confidentiality, and assistance in overcoming trauma.

Services include:

• Information and Counseling – raising awareness of rights, protection mechanisms, psychological and legal support, managing anxiety, stress, and crisis situations.
• Advocacy and Mediation – assistance with document preparation, guidance, and accompaniment to institutions such as the police, prosecutor’s office, Social Assistance Directorate, and others.
• Skills Training – developing independence, social skills, and parenting competencies.
• Therapy and Rehabilitation – overcoming trauma, building new behavior patterns, and acquiring skills for equitable communication.

Capacity: 20 places

SOS Crisis Center – Varna & Sofia
A 24-hour social service for individuals affected by violence or human trafficking, providing up to 6 months of residence, including their children. The center ensures safety, confidentiality, and comprehensive support.

Services include:

• Shelter and Basic Care – safe accommodation at a confidential address.
• Information and Counseling – psychological, social, and legal support; clarification of administrative matters.
• Advocacy and Mediation – assistance with institutions, accompaniment, and support in accessing services and employment programs.
• Skills Training – development of independence, social skills, and preventive knowledge on domestic violence and trafficking.
• Therapy and Rehabilitation – overcoming trauma, building new behavior patterns, and skills for equitable communication.

Capacity: 10 places

Temporary Accommodation Shelter for Victims of Human Trafficking
Provides a protected environment and support for individuals affected by human trafficking.

Programs of the “SOS – Families at Risk” Foundation

• Program for Victims of Domestic Violence
  Supports affected individuals, their relatives, and witnesses through psychological, social, and legal assistance, training for equitable communication, and overcoming the consequences of violence. Delivered via individual consultations and social work, up to 24 sessions, lasting up to 6 months.
• Program for Perpetrators of Domestic Violence
  Aims to protect victims, change aggressive behavior, and adopt non-violent conflict resolution strategies. Suitable for perpetrators of domestic violence, voluntarily or by court order. Delivered individually or in groups, up to 24 sessions, lasting up to 6 months.
